BY ANDREW MORKES, FOUNDER OF NATURE IN CHICAGOLAND
I wrote many stories about nature destinations in 2020, but I also covered a lot of other topics that were near and dear to my heart including stories about my family (including saying goodbye to my third set of “grandparents”), surviving and thriving during the COVID-19 pandemic, the murder of George Floyd and its aftermath, a historic cemetery in a Chicago suburb, and efforts to restore Chicagoland’s only castle. I also interviewed renowned photographer Barry Butler about his new book of photos of Chicagoland scenes. Here are the most popular non-nature posts in 2020 based on page views by my readers.
